Sony Xperia XZ1 announced with Snapdragon 835 and Android 8.0 Oreo at IFA 20
Sony Xperia XZ1, the company’s latest flagship smartphone announced today at IFA 2017 in Berlin. It features a 5.2-inch (1920 x 1080 pixels) HDR TRILUMINOS Display with X-Reality and Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection. Under the hood, it is powered by an Octa-Core Snapdragon 835 Mobile Platform coupled with Adreno 540 GPU. There is 4GB RAM along with 64GB of internal memory, and is expandable up to 256GB using microSD card.
In optics, the Sony Xperia XZ1 sports a 19-megapixel rear camera with Exmos RS sensor, 1/2.3″ sensor, f/2.0 lens, Predictive capture, 5-axis stabilization, 4K video recording and 960fps slow-motion video support. It also features triple image sensing technology and 5-axis image stabilization for shake-free videos, similar to the XZs. At front, there is 13-megapixel camera with 1/3″ Exmor RS sensor, 22mm wide-angle f/2.0 lens and 1080p video recording supports.
The battery inside is 2700mAh with Qnovo Adaptive Charging support and comes running Android 8.0 (Oreo) out of the mix. It becomes the first smartphone that announced with Android 8.0 (Oreo). The Sony Xperia XZ1 has IP65/68 ratings for dust and water resistance and connectivity options include 4G VoLTE, WiFi 802.11 ac (2.4GHz / 5GHz) MIMO, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS/ GLONASS, NFC and USB 3.1 Type-C.
