34 companies came together to sign the Cybersecurity Tech Accord this April. The agreement is focused on companies being ready to defend all customers from attacks launched by cybercriminals and governments alike.

There are four key components of the accord:

  1. We will protect all of our users and customers everywhere.
  2. We will oppose cyberattacks on innocent citizens and enterprises from anywhere.
  3. We will help empower users, customers and developers to strengthen cybersecurity protection
  4. We will partner with each other and with like-minded groups to enhance cybersecurity.

The companies that signed this accord are ABB, Arm, Avast, Bitdefender, BT, CA Technologies, Cisco, Cloudflare, DataStax, Dell, DocuSign, Facebook, Fastly, FireEye, F-Secure, GitHub, Guardtime, HP Inc., HPE, Intuit, Juniper Networks, LinkedIn, Microsoft, Nielsen, Nokia, Oracle, RSA, SAP, Stripe, Symantec, Telefonica, Tenable, Trend Micro and VMware.

This accord comes alongside the Russian government blocking IP addresses belonging to cloud service providers as it tries to ban the Telegram messenger as well as the Australian government trying to force companies to provide a backdoor for encrypted communications.

Secured data is something that users are demanding and companies understand how important these demands are. In a world where cyberattacks can have more ramifications than ever before, blockchain-based IDM offers post-quantum data protection. To find out more, visit www.myidm.io.
