Dutch idioms game SBD prizes (part 1)
In my continuing effort to not come across as a total idiot in Dutch, I have come across a cool card game where you are supposed to try and guess the meaning of a particular Dutch idiom.
Feel free to come in with serious guesses or just your best guess! Prize is 0.002 SBD for the first correct guess (so 3 times!) and 0.005 SBD for the funniest guess (as decided by the number of comments after the guess).
So today, I have my first three cards.
Een schaap met vijf poten.
A sheep with 5 legs.
Schoon schip maken.
Making a clean ship.
Er zit kop noch staart aan.
There sits no head or tail.
Well, I got the 2nd one but the other two were a mystery to me!
Ha ha ha, the sayings are good, but the pictures are fantastic! I don't speak dutch, but that game would be fun to have. :)
