Before her debut, the actress visited Bangladesh with her family to secretly watch "Priyotoma" on the big screen. She couldn't stop praising the warm and welcoming people of Bangladesh. During a local media interview, Idhika shared that two phrases, 'In Sha Allah' and 'Bismillah,' had deeply touched her heart during her time shooting in Bangladesh. She revealed that saying these words has become a cherished habit for her, especially when something good happens.

However, her comments didn't sit well with some Hindu fanatics who criticized her for seemingly embracing another culture while neglecting her own religious values. They questioned her about being influenced by Bangladeshi culture and argued that other Indian actors who have worked in Bangladeshi films haven't displayed such closeness to the culture. It's important to note that Idhika Paul gained popularity in Kolkata with her roles in Zee Bangla TV series "Rimli" and "Pilu."
