People used to ask : is it good to start a business? And my answer is always “Yes, starting a business is good for you.”

I’ll explain why.

1 You Get Freedom

You’ll no longer be dancing to the whims of others. You’ll have the freedom to choose what to do, how to do, and when to do.

You’ll have more control over your life and have the power to live on your terms. You’ll have the freedom to call the shots, to choose your work hours and to decide your vacations.

Of course, you might have to work even longer hours, sacrifice the weekends, cut your expenses short, forgot taking vacations for a while. But it’ll be on your terms, and you’ll have that freedom.

2 You Can Create or Make Things Better

Nothing is perfect out there. Things are either broken or can be improved. Instead of complaining, wishing for things to improve or get better, you can bring the change.

You can make things better, or you can create new solutions. You can help people & improve their lives with your products or services.

3 You Can Create Jobs

One day, you might hire someone, and as you grow, hire more. Creating more jobs will help the economy to grow. But that’s not all. You could be a better boss.

You could treat your employees better, create a better work culture, and offer them a better work-life balance. Or you could even make someone create something.

4 You’ll Have Purpose and Meaning

It’s the purpose and meaning of life governs how we live, and your business will give you both. Because starting a business, gives you a goal to achieve.

That goal gives you a sense of purpose. And that purpose gives meaning to your life. And that meaning and purpose will help you live better, fuller, and happier.

5 You Can Make Money

If you get everything right - from market to idea to product to selling it to the customers and investors, you could make a fortune. You can give your family better living conditions, better education to your kids, and travel around the world.

Even better, you can invest in other startups, giving them a chance to succeed like you. You can support charities and causes of your choice and add a smile to a lot of people around you.

And there’s more.

You’ll meet a lot of new people, face unique challenges, experience new things, learn new skills, life hacks, and work hacks. It will change your perception of things, and help you see life in a whole new way. And you can change the world, make it better. The world needs more of you. People who can dream and commit themselves to achieve the dream. People who can create and improve things. People who can think big.
