We are very excited to join ICON TestNets with identity ICON Sweden as a step for preparation of P-Reps Election Process starting September 2019. We are learning a lot from these on-going tests.

These initial first tests and learning from them will help ICON Foundation and Community to ensure secure and reliable deployment of ICON Production Network as the Decentralized Network comprised of Global P-Rep Candidates while achieving stable operation without any stoppages.

Multiple TestNets have been deployed (depending on the number of participants, each TestNet comprising of at least 22 participants).

Goals of ICON Testnets

Some of the goals (among others) of these P-Rep TestNets (2nd Phase) are as follows.

• Test on Blocks Production and Validation
  • ... by continuous tx generation every 3 to 10 seconds
• Intensive Transaction Load Tests on a specific dates/ times
• Hard fork, as well as
• Governance Training

Security, Redundancy, Reliability, Fault Tolerance, and members training are also key aspects of "ICON Sweden".
