ICON - Hyperconnect the World

ICON is a scale-able smart contract enabled Blockchain Platform with

an innovative consensus mechanism,
decentralized governance structure, and
a long-term goal of inter-operability between enterprise and public blockchains.

SCORE

ICON smart contracts are known as SCOREs that are written in Python. ICON supports an enhanced BFT (Byzantine Fault Tolerance) based algorithm known as LFT (Loop Fault Tolerance). It also supports a concept known as “Virtual Step” that allows SCORE operators to cover user transaction fees.

ICON's goal is to Hyperconnect the World. ICON believes that this goal is reachable by combining groundbreaking technology, a strong community, and relentless productive growth strategies.

ICON P-Rep TestNet(s)

ICON developments are speeding up to ensure P-Rep launch during September 2019. ICON just completed Phase-1 P-Rep TestNets. The TestNet operation period is expected to last until June 17th (starting from April 30th). Tests has been split into two parts:

Phase-1, and
Phase-2

Each phase can be consisted of several TestNets run by 22 P-Rep nodes. If the number of P-Rep nodes exceeds 22 in a TestNet, a separate TestNet will open.

Phase-1 P-Rep TestNets have been just completed. Phase-2 will start from June 3rd UTC 05:00 until June 17th UTC 05:00.

“ICON Sweden” is 1st “P-Rep” Candidate

swedencornet became the 1st “P-Rep” Candidate with off-chain pre-registration process with the brand/team name "ICON Sweden". We have been following ICON project since the ICO. We believe on the vision of ICON "Hyperconnect the World", introducing a new era of decentralization. We see the future in which thousands of independent blockchains with different governance frameworks interconnect and transact with each other without intermediaries.

We have applied for P-Rep TestNet Application. We want to be a productive player of the ICON echosytem (ICONSENSUS) to ensure realization of the ICON vision.
