It could be possible that managing a pre-ICO token sale will change significantly in the future. That the pre-sale will become more important, spread on social media like slack to surpass ICO's like "Status", which shut down the ETH-network for quite a while.
"Santiment"... - also recommended by C.H. has already launched a whitelist to its slack-community, to give their loyal followers a chance to get in first without any token-sale-stress.
I prefer that kinda style a lot compared to sitting hours in front of the PC waiting for a pending tx to be cleared!
