TIPESTRY – Next generation Social Media

We have been acquainted with crypto coins thanks to the blockchain, which is a revolutionary technology as much as the internet, which is brought to us by the technological developments in our globalizing world. A cryptocurrency is a digital or virtual currency that uses cryptography for security. Because of this security feature, it is difficult to mimic a cryptocurrency. A defining characteristic of a crypto currency and its undeniably the most attractive charm is its organic structure; it is not subject to any central authority and is theoretically closed to state intervention or manipulation.

Cryptocurrencies simplify the transfer of money between two parties in a transaction. Besides being fast and transparent, these transfers are facilitated by the use of private keys for security purposes. Crypto money transfers are made with minimum transaction fees and include a much lower cost for users' bank transfers than most banks and financial institutions charge.

As a matter of fact, this new investment and banking approach of the modern world is becoming more popular and it becomes more preferred especially among young people.

Today, I want to summarize briefly Tipestry.com is a platform where users can post comments about other websites and send their likes with cryptocurrency. As a matter of fact, Tipestry Go is a mobile application for IOS and Android users that allow users to comment on any physical location. Comments can be placed by selecting a point on the user's current physical location or on the map. Comments can be viewed in the map view through a list of nearby publications in a selected range, in a section showing popular publications worldwide or in augmented reality. Crypto coins are also hidden worldwide and can be collected through the application.

When we observe the potential of the crypto money world, Tipestry supports the emergence of this platform as an idea that users can comment and tip anywhere using the cryptocurrency as a payment. Although some sites have comment sections or message boards, there are usually no comments. One of the objectives of this project is to provide more opportunities for people to interact and provide online feedback, including the darker (or censored) corners of the web.

If we look at some usage cases, these are:

• To learn what people say about a specific website,
• To be able to discuss the sites where comment sections have been removed,
• To be able to discuss issues that are not commented,
• To discuss very special topics,
• Find and share information about new product releases.

TIPESTRY Token (TIP) and ICO Information

To protect the ecosystem, two token, Tipestry - Tipcoin (TIPC) and Tipestry token (TIP) will be used. Both were constructed using the Ethereum ERC-20 standard. In the future, it will be possible to replace the standard TIP tokens with the ERC-888. The Tipcoins feature will be determined by Tipestry and moderation. It will also be used to purchase Tipestry Premium accounts and will also qualify for future owners to receive dividends from the cryptocurrency earned on the platform.

Project Roadmap

Tipestry project started in 2014. The key objectives were to facilitate data exchange and enable users to comment on any website. The first iteration is a browser plug-in that was entered into the alpha test in 2015, and the second is a mobile application that was tested in 2016. Based on early feedback, both versions were canceled in favor of the current application. In 2017, the web version of Tipestry.com, which has been tested in alpha, is in use. The application was also launched in the Apple Store in early 2018. Tippening, a site that aims to shape the policy platform and eliminate moderators, will be launched in early 2019.
