I am going to start a new daily blog series in which I highlight upcoming ICO's / Token Sales with a lot of potential. These are the token sales in which I would invest.

If you have read my previous blog entries, you would see that I generally don't like the current shape of ICO's. However, if you really have to invest in ICO's / Token Sales, these are the ones worthy of mentioning.

If you can recall from my first blog entry, there is a lot of potential for cryptocurrencies, especially when it comes to emerging markets.

Today I am introducing one such project that I can see having a huge impact in emerging markets. A project that is also backed by Vinny Lingham

Dala aims to provide financial solutions to emerging markets, especially the unbanked, by providing a platform that would facilitate low cost money transfers. They are also incentiving users for their participation in the ecosystem.

The biggest benefit that I can see with this, is that users firstly don't need a bank account. Many African countries specifically lack banking infrastructure, which in turn forces its residents to deal in cash only. This creates a problem where individuals don't pay tax, which leads to a deteriorating economies.

With Wala, users can send funds to their families if they work remotely. They can also earn tokens by simply transacting. These tokens have proper utility, in that it can be used to purchase data and airtime. Something that lacks in many emerging markets. Networks are generally expensive, and the tokens would make it more affordable.
