RE: "Wow." — Day 1 of the Rush Coin Pre-ICO
4 BTC min to get in on the presale... huge advantages for the rich in that presale (gold cards + 25%).... IDK guys gamers don't have a ton of cash laying around.. at least not 12k... for that you can buy hardware that hashes minimum 720Mhs and go play league. Seems you are not into making a community and a good game, By the By gamers hate it when Devs give huge advantages to rich people. I can't believe that anyone on you teams actually games or I would have expected something a little more gamer friendly.
Hi @taaveti, thanks for your comment. I'm sorry you feel that way; most of us at the Hash Rush team are actually gamers at heart. We are very much aiming to create a community of gamers and cryptocurrency enthusiasts who are excited to play Hash Rush and contribute to the Hash Rush project. That is also why we're posting our stories on different channels such as Steemit.
You are right in saying that there are some extra advantages that you gain when joining the pre-sale, but you can still join the ICO starting on 13 September; this only has a minimum entry threshold of 0.1 ETH.
We hope to see you join our ICO and please let me know if you have any other questions or comments.
I understand about the .1 ETH on September 13 but I will tell you the same thing I told another steemit user and if you were gamers you would understand this point of view.
"I do like the idea that it is a GUI cloud mining operation.
I do not like the bonuses for the whales... if you are marketing it to gamers not whales then rushcoin will have to be traded like any other coin its value should be the incentive... it is a unfair advantage that they will get a permanent hashrate regardless of difficulty on top of the 25% bonus coins they will get. I think it is naive to think that no matter what they will not pass on the cost of maintaining that permanent hashrate on to other users.
As far as the game development even crap coins like EROS raise over 10 million... they did not have to go down this road.. they are just money hungry and average users will end up having a paying for the permanent mining cost and hardware to maintain that hashrate.
As far as big ticket rewards on kickstarter those are usually symbolic if they are unattainable in the future such as meet and greets or launch parties ect.. I have never seen a kickstarter that offered a product to the rich that was never to going be obtainable by regular people, which is what rush coin is doing. By giving out gold cards that I would never have a chance of getting... so no matter how much money I would spend through the course of doing business with Rush even if it is 100k over time... these whales will always be better then me...
total turn off for me and probably many gamers.... I was mid filling out ico stuff before I realized it and now I probably will never participate in the game. I will wait for china or someone to clone the game and play on a level field with everyone else."
Thanks for this @taaveti. I understand your point of view, but don't agree with it for multiple reasons. For one thing, EROS was a scam, and for another, we're not "money hungry" but simply require a minimum amount of investment to get this project up and running.
We are definitely still marketing Hash Rush to gamers, minnows and everyone else; and we're confident we can create a level playing field for all players of Hash Rush. It's unfortunate that you're not planning on participating in our ICO anymore; know that you're always still very much welcome to join.
I realize our opinions are a bit different on this subject, but it's great to hear you're so passionate about gaming. And as a startup and large gaming/cryptocurrency project, we are open to any comments or suggestions, so thank you for providing your feedback.
Very informative.
