SpringRole is the Best Choice of Employers and Job Seekers

Before discussing how SpringRole is going to help in hiring process, we need to identify the problems faced in the conventional methods of hiring the employees. A job seeker’s resume is the first source of information about the employee’s credentials but we cannot rule out the possibility of inaccurate and false information provided in the resume and it becomes the responsibility of the employer to verify the authenticity of the jobseeker’s credentials which could be very lengthy and time-consuming practice but still no guarantee that at the end the attestations and verifications are trustworthy or not.

The attestation becomes further difficult if the job seeker claims to attain a degree from a country other than his/her country of residence and he or she is applying for a job in a third country. In that case the university will first attest the degree which will then be notarized by the local administration, attested by the ministry of foreign affairs of the country where the university is situated, further attestation by the embassy of the country where the job seeker is applying for a job and the final attestation will be done by the ministry of foreign affairs where the candidate will be employed. The problem is there is still a chance of forgery and special forensic skills are required to detect if any signature or stamp in the whole process is forged.

The next step which is even more complicated is to verify the job seeker’s experience, efficiency and the level of skill for a particular job. The common practice is the job seeker would provide an experience letter from the previous employer but there is no way to verify the trustworthiness of such reference. There could be various scenarios:

1- The previous employer might not be happy that the employee is quitting the job and would therefore issue a negative report about the employee’s skills and efficiency.
2- The previous employer might issue a positive report about the employee just out of courtesy and the recommendations might be untrue.
3- The third scenario could be that the job seeker might have forged the reference letter.

Spring network is a blockchain powered protocol which uses the reputation system for endorsing the skills of an individual, the endorser is also ranked based upon his/her reputation. In order to encourage the participation of the users in reputation-based network each user is incentivized for his/her participation in the process. The educational claims verified by the respective organizations would be linked to blockchain hence leaving no chance of tampering with the claims. I personally believe Spring network is a very valuable innovation and would soon replace the current social networks used for hiring purpose.
