Digital economy in Russia – non-standard means of payment

Yet another high-profile event for Smart Valley! Today we are going to the Russian Parliament itself – to be precise, we are attending the First International Cryptocurrency Conference! The topic is defined as “Digital economy in Russia – non-standard means of payment”. The event is organized by the Russian Association of International Cooperations and is supported by the Parliamentary Commission on Economic Development Monitoring.
Among the key themes of the conference are the recent legal initiatives to regulate cryptocurrencies, efficient use of blockchain technologies, and creating a digital economic framework in Russia. It’s the first official event on such a scale, and it’s already viewed as one of the most authoritative discussion forums for crypto policy in Russia.
Among the attendees will be members of the Senate and the lower chamber of the parliament, ambassadors of various countries, industry experts, businessmen and representatives of large foreign investors, and so on. Founder of Smart Valley Alexey Voronin will be among the key speakers, together with the president and chairman of the Osnova group of companies Alexander Ruchiov. Juwan Lee – CEO of NexChange and Arrakis Ventures and organizer of Fintech Week in Hong Kong – will also participate, which is not surprising: he is one of the key advisers and business partners at Smart Valley!
And here’s the most interesting part: during the conference, Smart Valley (represented by its official legal body, Blockchain Solutions LTD), PhizTechPark accelerator program, and the Swiss Consulate in Russia will sign a partnership memorandum!
All the suggestions brought forward by the event participants will be systematized and then presented to the Russian authorities and the crypto community as recommendations.
