My experiment with ICOs begins today - with focus on social media/content companies

in #ico7 years ago

I've decided to experiment with a few ICOs. These companies/ not-for-profit trusts issue "white papers", then provide videos explaining what they want to do. If you are satisfied with that, you can put in some money (say, $200) through tokens. If that company's idea succeeds, the tokens can multiply - even a million times. If not, one's ICO investment goes to zero.

I'm satisfied that decentralised (and even centralised, as with Ripple) blockchain is the technology of the future. It is part of Internet 2.0 - the next wave in which companies like Facebook will be challenged and potentially overtaken.

Media and content will be more free than ever before.

My investment focus will be on companies that want to create content platforms that are 100 per cent protected from obnoxious "busybodies" who want to impose "community standards".

LET THE PEOPLE WORK OUT WHATEVER STANDARD THEY WANT. LET THERE BE FREE SPEECH, NO MATTER HOW OBNOXIOUS.
