MinerOne ICO is live!

MinerOne is a great ICO I've participated in.

Reason: It's first of its kind. With MinerOne Tokens you're buying the equity in all of their mining farm. Currently they're only mining BTC. The potential of earning would go way up if they diversify into altcoin mining. I think if you plan on being a part of mining community without having to deal with buying equipment, the set up and the noise it should work for you. I've tried not to shill and put a fair and objective review below, to the best of my knowledge.

Where to participate in the ICO?

Here are some key points why I think it's a great buy now:
Pros:

  • Mining BTC with the most advanced mining ASIC equipment - Ebit E10. Find out more about here.
  • Mining will be done at lowest possible electricity rates (in Europe) , at € 0.065 / kWh.
  • About 70% of the mining output to be distributed to token holders, 30% to the minerone team.
  • Tokens are lifetime tokens.
  • Monthly Payout in ETH via smart contract.
  • Minerone plans to provide live camera feeds and all the accounting details for every token holder.
  • They would be rolling out the old equipments and reinvest the proceeds into buying new mining equipments.

Cons:

  • Monthly payout instead of daily. Most people would compare Minerone with cloudmining such as Hashflare which gives daily payouts. So people used to it may not like the idea of waiting for a monthly payout.
  • Not clear on how many equipments would be bought. Hard to visualize how much of gains can one expect, and how much time it would take to recover the initial investment.
  • Most are trying to equate their USD investment to "Hash power" they can get a-la cloud mining. Not enough material available that stresses on exactly in what ways is MinerOne better than cloud mining, ICO aside.
  • The website says lifetime token is valid till the lifetime of the project - "as long as mining remains profitable". While as a miner I understand what they're trying to say, just that it sounds negative in the sense when you consider yourself buying a token.
  • Bounty program isn't clear yet.
  • Referral program doesn't seem to be activated just yet even though the ICO is live for participation. (I'll update here once I hear more about it)
