International sea freight is the most important type of transport with a large list of advantages:

- Transportation of large-sized cargoes and a super-heavy weight category. A modern ocean vessel has the ability to take on its side a cargo of several thousand tons
- Sea freight is regulated by international legal acts, rules and conventions.
Do you know that more than 90% of the total volume of orders for new vessels falls on three countries: China, Korea and Japan? And 60% of all maritime trade falls to the share of container transportation.
The shipping industry is quite efficient and has a lot of advantages. However, there is a list of problems in the industry:
- Excess capacity
- Lowest rate
- Security threat
- Environmental pollution
The Scandinavian company Blockshipping, which is headquartered in Copenhagen, Denmark, is ready to solve these problems and find new opportunities for global optimization of all sea transportation processes.
Blockshipping is the first global platform with blockchain support, which will create a single register with a database of containers, carriers, ports, logistics companies, cargo terminals.
Thanks to the blockchain technology, the use of world containers will be much more efficient, eliminating the simple empty containers and their return without cargo. All containers can be tracked by location and loading in real time.
