This MyLondon post features Tobi, a London twenty-something who gave up Knighstbridge and Tory Burch for fedoras, boots and Dalston. While embarking on this noble transition, Tobi also stumbled on Digital Marketing - one of the mysterious jobs cool kids do. Freelance, of course.

We hear you are a pretty big fan of the eastside? Do tell us more!

Well I did win the annual Brick Lane drinking competiton called the chug-of-war. Haha! I'm also a big fan of the Ace Hotel ground floor bar in Shoreditch, which is particularly useful for pre-gaming and passively spotting famous people. The crowd and Hip-Hop vibes are equally appealing, and I once ran into Mos Def there who I fanned out and definitely scared off.  

What is your personal London hack?

You really don't need a lot of cash to enjoy it! More often than not, the free or affordable stuff is often the most fun. No offence to the lovely people of SW1. 

Favourite restaurants?

This is always changing, but as of January 2017, I'd go with Mango Room> in Camden and Jackson & Ryein Soho, who manage to do great brunches with some of the best seafood Linguine around. 

Best Bar in London?

About to make a claim here... Frank's Cafe in Peckham is my favourite space in the whole city! It is an enormous outdoor bar on a car park rooftop with the most breathtaking views of London. They also do classic cocktails and a mean steak! Nightclubs have never felt so irrelevant.  When you're in London, definitely check out some of Tobi's favourite spots.
