Interesting ICO talks in Croatia on National TV
So I was watching HRT (Croatian national TV channel) today, and these days there are more and more talks about ICOs and cryptos in general than ever before. Another sign of bullishness. HRT is a very politically orientated channel depending on who's in charge of the country, at the moment it serves their right wing masters, essentially Republicans if you want to compare Croatia with United States. I'm not a fan of traditionalists, nationalists, religious and backward thinking people leading my country into the future. These people will very soon start making new laws about crypto and things will become messy.
In this talk show/news a traditional financial analyst Željko Kardum was presenting his limited knowledge about ICOs and cryptos in general to his colleague Petar Vlahov, a tudum (halfwit gorilla), who is highly sceptical about cryptocurrency, as most people are, and he just continued with this snarky remarks about the whole space. He was there only to ask questions and being uneducated.
Željko was trying to explain how ICOs work and in very simple terms what are smart contracts. Further on he says that 95% of all ICOs are scams thus scaring any potential investors right from the start, he doesn't understand that maybe not all of those are scams, but he considers it a scam if an ICO doesn't bring a 10x or 100x returns, which is beyond insane, just for example 2-3x is a sign of success in my eyes, in his eyes 3x return is a scam. Remember, he is the one who knows about these things.
A tudum Vlahov then says he would rather play a Russian roulette than invest in any ICO, which again explains what a moron he is. And then a very interesting part arrives, Željko the financial analyst then says, but people still waste money on lotto and bingo which are .... the screen then turns to black and the signal disappears....
He was trying to say, and he probably said it that lotto is a 100% scam, and they shut down a feed for a moment. You see, poor Željko Kardum forgot at the time that he works for HRT, a home channel for those lottery and bingo scams. So you see what HRT did there, they scared potential ICO investors and they muted the truth about their own scam which is a lottery. It all happened live :)
I found the whole show very amusing and I couldn't believe what just happened. These "experts" are shaping the general knowledge about crypto and it is going in the completely wrong direction.

ICO's are the one thing I would rather the media stay away from. they are really risky in most cases and there have been pure scam ICO's.
with that said exposure is exposure. thank you for the article :)
They are risky yes, but no way in hell 95% of them are scams. I would't dare to say that only 10% are scams.
I worked on HRT for 15 years and is no surprise for me that are many "TUDUMS" there.

Perhaps they are not tudums all the time, but in this particular topic they sure are. I know you worked there and you probably know those people.
Owk this doesnt really sound good but you started the post by saying that it was a good sign that the talk about ICO and crypto came up on HRT but it came up for the wrong reasons which isn't good.

Kardum was, I guess, only quoting/paraprashing Sturgeon's Law. Which can be implemented on any non-crypto investment or any other area of human endeavour. :)
