Rubius: decentralized payment network
Bitcoin, Ether, Altcoin. And the list goes on and on. Yes, you figured it right. We are talking about cryptocurrencies. It would be not wrong to say that cryptocurrencies have increasingly become popular these days. You can easily see more and number of people investing in various cryptocurrencies. In fact, I have seen number of companies organizing ICO than the number of goals in this FIFA world cup (Interesting!!). It's like each day, some new companies start their ICO to raise fund for the products.
Despite, cryptocurrencies being so popular, it still suffers from few massive drawbacks which are preventing it from mass scale usage. There is much confusion regarding the exchange of cryptocurrencies and which is the safest way to do that. There are various companies out there which facilitate the exchange of these currencies but none of them solve the problem at micro scale. These companies tend to solve one problem either by providing a simple wallet or payment service. There is a need for some kind of service which could support various features like an exchange, messaging, easy to use UI and many more.
Recently, while browsing various wallets I came across one company - Rubius which promises to provide a simple, easy to use the app for using cryptocurrencies. That's why I decided to look into further details about the company.
Rubius platform
Rubius is a platform which wants to create products and services based on blockchain technology. The company aims at making cryptocurrency and blockchain more accessible to customers. The company is currently working on its first app, Aryl, and its crypto exchange platform Rubiex.
Aryl has following features-
➢ Users can easily send, receive request payment either via cryptocurrencies or fiat money
➢ Users can also perform other functions like creating new Ethereum wallets or changing wallet password
➢ iMessage functionality is also supported by the app
➢ You can even send money via Aryl to users who do not have Aryl account
➢ The app also has chat option to have a secure communication with your friends
➢ Switch feature of Aryl will ensure that user's money is safe
The company has is also working on the exchange platform call Rubiex. Users can easily change their token on Rubiex platform. But, you will need to provide KYC related information before using the Rubiex platform.
ICO and Team
Rubius uses ERC20 token which is created on Ethereum blockchain. The company has released 210 million RUBY tokens. Rubius will organize a pre-ICO sale from July 2018- August 2018 and the main sale from 21st August 2018- 25th September 2018. The tokens will be sold at a rate of 1 ETH= 7000 RUBY. You can get your hands on one of these tokens during the sale. However, you need to invest a minimum of 0.05 Ether in order to buy RUBY tokens.
Conclusion
Rubius will launch Aryl and Rubiex platform in Q4 2018 with the smart loan feature to be added in Q1 2019. The company will add stocks and other assets in Q3 2019. Rubius also plans to develop POS software in Q2 2020 which will be available to all the merchants by the end of 2020.
After going through the company's plans, it feels like they are well settled and are confident to achieve their goals. But from the investment point of view, the company excites me a lot. Yes, they have a nice idea and are currently on track with their development schedule. You might think that blockchain is not a big thing yet and might not find that many implementations of the technology. But, I can assure you that Blockchain has the potential to take the world by storm (I think it already did that). I believe that it's not long before we could see blockchain based products in our day to day life. And companies like Rubies are making a great effort in ensuring that it happens fast.
