How-to check ICO token reputation on etherscan
In the world of crypto. It's important that we understand and learn about our decisions. I want to share with you how you can easily check the Etherscan Token Reputation Score so you can make informed decision while interacting with a token contract.
First head off to https://etherscan.io/
at the top left corner in the search bar type the name of the token in question. I will use two examples below
on the right side check the Reputation score
EOS.io Token contract has a reputation of OK, this mean its not an endorsement but the project has provided sufficient and accurate information, clear goals and communications, visible profile, the token is listed in major exchanges etc.
another example is COSS
the Reputation is Neutral. This means there is no information available.
here is example of ZRX token with SUSPICIOUS reputation
ZRX has been reported with scam, phishing, fraud or misrepresentation of information. I would stay away from it.
