Opiria has an Existing Product, So I Tried It

Opiria is one of the few projects launching an ICO with the goal of further developing and growing an existing product. Opiria aims to integrate PDATA tokens into its existing app; this will allow them to create a marketplace where anyone can sell his or her personal data to any company.

Since Opiria’s app is already available in the market, I decided to try it out. It’s easy to get started: all you have to do is download the app.

The app opens up with a warm welcome. It gives a clear idea of what the app serves to do; it allows individuals to participate in market research surveys.

You’ll need to make an account, but this is one of the few apps that doesn’t integrate Facebook account linking to make an account. I guess this is understandable since Opiria’s long-term goal is to take power from companies like Facebook as they are one of the prime profiteers of personal data.

The app asks you to give a survey so it can get to know you better. You’ll have to provide basic details.
There are plenty of other survey apps out there, but this is the first that I’ve seen that allows you to submit pictures with your answer; this truly enhances the feedback a consumer provides since a picture’s worth a thousand words.

All in all, the Opiria app is extremely easy to use and it takes less than a minute to get started. For the time being, it’s like many other survey outlets. It has one differentiation as it allows people to connect pictures with their feedback. This very feature is what Mercedes-Benz’s UX Researcher praises on Opiria’s homepage testimonials tab.

The Next Step

Opiria’s team is certainly able to deliver a product. What they’ve noticed is that providing a way for customers to making their feedback a little more personal makes the feedback a lot more valuable to companies. This builds the foundation for the future of Opiria.

If companies are impressed by the mere addition of pictures or videos with a feedback, their personal data demand would completely shift to this platform is they can get access to any specific, customized personal data from any person. That’s exactly what Opiria’s team is now aiming for; they want to the traditional feedback (via survey) platform to the most advanced personal data marketplace possible.
