Problem of patient non compliance and the solution

As a pharmacist I know that patient noncompliance is one of the reasons why drug therapy will fail, it will make the patient retake some medication or change to a costly drug regimen and sometimes it can lead to death. One of the reasons for patient noncompliance is forgetfulness or confusion, especially for the geriatric patient. Forgetting doses of antibiotics can cause bacterial resistance to that antibiotic making the patient to take second or third line drug antibiotics which have harmful side effects. The diabetic patient always forgetting there medications are often hospitalized, non-adherence is one of the main cause of diabetic complications and deaths.

Luckily I found a solution to the problem, Introducing Curaizon a medical platform to reduce drug adherence it consists of 3 main parts Curaserve, Curaview, and Curadata.

Curaserve is an application in which it gives reminders to the patient and family members. Every time a user took medication and use the app to record it, the app record the data and can be view by the patient's health care provider for monitoring its compliance in real time if the patient complies the health care provider can assess accurately if the drug is working efficiently or need more adjustment.

The data that Curaserve collected is called Curadata and this is where Curaizon will get most of its value. The data is anonymous to ensure privacy, this data are important not only to monitor patient compliance by healthcare provider but for clinical trials on how patient’s noncompliance affect drug therapy. This will help for healthcare services on how to improve patient compliance. All of this will help the overall health care system in terms of better drug formulation and ways on how healthcare provider prevents a patient future medical condition that may cause death.
