The Roadmap: What the future holds for Evident Proof and its customers

At Evident Proof’s core is a belief that truth and proof have a value. Honouring this value will guide our growth as a business as we move into the future. It’s why we built a platform that leverages the blockchain to provide immutable, verifiable, and undeletable evidence of the provenance of data records.

The platform is working now with live client data, and enterprises are already planning to integrate the platform into their data ecosystems.

Evident Proof is ready to transform the way businesses, organisations and even individuals store risk-sensitive data and justify or verify their data activities. We hope to banish to history the current flawed industry methods for storing proof chains using corruptible logs.

The next steps

Evident Proof is on its way to creating a new form of value and economy from data transactions worldwide.

We’re initially focusing on the European, Asian and US market sectors — launching in the UK and Europe in 2018, Asia and the US in 2019. Data production is exponentially increasing everywhere, as are the statutory requirements to verify and secure data, and so the need to provide verifiable evidence of its provenance is also growing. So a worldwide launch will follow.

We expect individuals, companies, organisations, governments and charities to use our services to generate court and dispute-ready proof certificates for:

-data events
-risk management
-to verify operational activities
-to provide accurate reporting
-to combat counterfeit products
-to aid compliance for operational data management and data events

Sectors with obvious needs of the verification service provided by Evident Proof include manufacturing, health, legal, finance, insurance, pharma, agriculture, and IT.

An open-source platform

We want the open-source community to build on our platform. As such we’re creating a software-developer ecosystem, open-source community support, bespoke APIs, developer libraries, and open-source tool kits.

We’ll also provide architecture and software development consultancy to enable organisations to link datasets to the Evident platform. And we will provide consultancy for organisations to help them identify data sets that are at risk, or would benefit from proof chaining.

Scalability

The Evident platform will be ready to grow with customer’s needs long into the future. It will automatically scale up in response to increased usage. And we’ll continue to grow our development team which has a long heritage of developing and deploying enterprise-scale multi-national, multi-language software platforms.

Our principles will carry us forward

We have a mission to protect data for our customers, demonstrate its integrity, and honour its value. That’s why all tokens generated by the submission of data to the platform will be owned by the data originator. Data will always be encrypted/hashed. And only the data owner, and those given permission by the data owner, will ever be able to view the proof.
