How to participate in the NVO crowdsale...

in #ico7 years ago

 Important

  • Only participate in the NVO crowdsale via the official website
  • If  you are sending BTC, do NOT send from an exchange, pool or most online  wallets and services, as you don’t control the private key. Always use  and send BTC from an address you control the private key. If you are  participating with altcoins you can send from anywhere.
  • For any problem, register on our Slack .

Token sale

  • The  initial price is calculated by Total Raised/15M NVO tokens. All tokens  will be distributed fairly to participants. You won’t know how many  tokens you will receive or the price of each token until the crowdsale  is over.
  • You can use https://counterpartychain.io/ to check how many tokens when crowdsale is finished.
  • The  rate of your currency contributions will be calculated at the end. So  if you participated with BTC, and BTC goes up on last day of crowdsale,  we will use that price at the end.
  • Since we don’t have a CAP or any bonus, you can participate on the first or the last day, it won’t make a difference.

Instructions

For this guide, we will use Counterwallet. You can use any wallet as long as you have the private key of the BTC address that will be used to participate in the crowdsale.

  1. Register an account  on NVO. Do not use special character for your email or password.  Confirm your registration by clicking on the link sent to your email. If  you don’t see anything, check all folders including spam.
  2. Create a new wallet on Counterwallet. Copy your BTC address. Save your private key and put it in a safe place. This BTC address will be used to receive NVO tokens.

4. Login to NVO dashboard. Go to Personal bitcoin address section and paste in the address you just created then click submit.

6.  Now you can participate with any cryptocurrency by sending funds to the  address on the dashboard. If you are participating with Bitcoin, send BTC to your counterwallet address first then send it to the crowdsale from the counterwallet.

7. If you are participating with other cryptocurrencies, you can send funds from anywhere even an exchange.

Common problems

  1. I sent BTC or submit a BTC address from an exchange like Coinbase?
You  will lose tokens. You need to use a BTC address that you control the  private key like the one on Counterwallet. This isn’t possible on  services like Coinbase and Bitrexx. If you made this mistake please join  our Slack ASAP and contact us using this form.
  2. I sent altcoins, but I don’t see anything?
The API is quite slow, so it can take hours to show the updated balance.
  3. I sent Bitcoin, but I don’t see anything?
For BTC, there isn’t a balance checker, so nothing will show up.
You can check for your BTC transactions on this shared BTC address.
