The invention of blockchain technology has really opened up new opportunities in the world at large, as can be seen in Finance systems, Healthcare systems, Gaming etc.
Blockchain technology has the following outstanding features;
a. Decentralization: Ensuring data safety.
b. Smart contracts: Which ensures real-time transactions are carried out as efficient as possible with no point of failure.
Owing to this features, blockchain technology has been embraced by new and existing platforms thereby solving related problems.
Yes, blockchain technology has solved many related issues, but a study has shown that there are issues which tend to limit the true effectiveness of blockchain technology, issues such as permanent storage of data etc.
In order to solve this issue led a team of professionals into creating a platform unique in all ramifications, a platform known as ARWEAVE.
In a nutshell, Arweave is a blockchain-based platform with the sole purpose of making the storage of data permanent, thus leading to no data manipulation or loss.
With Arweave, data is saved permanently, at a lower cost and censorship free.

WHY ARWEAVE?

Arweave was created out of the need to help scale the $3 trillion data storage industry. With the way this data industry is growing, there is an urgent need for a system which will help to ensure cheap, distributed and permanent data storage, made on the blockchain.

Wildfire: This is a decentralized algorithm, also known as Self-Organizing Network. The purpose of this is to allow network configuration to autonomously accept the most efficient way to information distribution, thus leading to;
a. Self-optimization for low-latency,
b. High bandwidth data writing,
c. Recall.
Blockshadows: This is known for high transaction throughput. Owing to blockweave, there has been a significant improvement on how transaction speed are computed on a decentralized blockchain, thus paving way for blockshadows which now allows the weave to reach 5000 TPS (Transaction Per Second).
Proof of Access: It is worthy to note that Arweave consensus is based on;
a. Proof-of-Work (PoW),
b. Proof-of-Access (PoA).
Arweave makes use of PoW and PoA, and in combination with the blockweave data structure, miners need not store all blocks, but only concentrate on storing of previous blocks which have been incentivized by PoA and Wildfire giving rise to a blockweave.
Development of User-friendly Decentralized Applications: In other to successfully promote Arweave, there is great need to make it possible for developers to easily build on top of blockweave. Owing to the fact that Arweave is meant for developers, led to the creation of "REST APIs" thus making it possible for developers to easily create the Arweave application in any desired programming language.
