Regular nodes, in coins like Bitcoin, store the full blockchain and relay transactions. Masternodes, in coins like Zixx, have more functionality than regular nodes.

Special functions of masternodes could include:

Performing instant transactions
Providing increased privacy transactions
Partaking in governance and voting
Allowing budgetary and treasury systems
Masternodes are continually communicating with other nodes, creating a decentralised network.

3/ What is mining Bitcoin/xzx?

Mining Bitcoin/XZX is one way to get coin. As mentioned earlier, we can see Bitcoin/zxz as a large global cash system that stores the history of transactions (or 'money movements') from one person to another. When Bitcoin/zxz transactions are processed on the Bitcoin/zxz network - which means Bitcoin/zxz is being transferred from one person to another - one needs to make sure that all transactions are recorded correctly and that the cash system has been synchronized and someone will get results from that process
