Yes you need to be wary, I am thinking that most may fail if they are based on Ethereum..... I believe EOS will do much better in supporting apps due to its potential speed of blocks, and being fully open source.
GOOD QUESTION. The speed of closing down the End Blocks # commands take many minutes, similar to bitcoin, which for bitcoin is OK (TEN MINUTES).
