With the world advancing technologically at such a fast rate, people all around the world have access to products that was previously only region specific. People have much higher exposure and there is a saying that Nowadays, we know what is current state of happenings in a nearby country much better than we know our neighbors.
That is true, with people being in an always connected environment and social media and instant messaging playing a vital role, we get to know of the happenings all around the world as it occurs as compared to having to hear about it days later in the Newspaper or the Radio.

But this has its fair share of drawbacks for the fact that it involves a lot of paper works and fees and duties to be paid, with not much transparency and lots of intermediate middlemen involved in the shipping process. With each additional middleman added leads to the increase in the shipping cost. And still you may be levied duty for the item. So, there is a trend that you order and pay for anything online and get it shipped to a friend or relative, who then brings it over when they return home.
I know for the fact that many of my friends and colleagues who have done this to get their hands on newly released products that has not or won't been released locally yet. There is also the problem of many people shifting around constantly and they incur a lot of shipping and courier charges for transporting their stuff around.
Shipit Platform
They are planning to change the way we see delivery and courier services by completely revamping it. They plan to do this by allowing a sender to send an item via a person travelling using this platform while allowing the Traveler to earn for delivering the item to recipient. All this is powered by their platform which uses the Blockchain for complete decentralization and to get rid of the middlemen in the process.
This makes the platform much easier and cheaper for the sender to send as there is less fees to be paid as there are no customs or extra taxes to be paid and also allowing those travelling to make an extra buck by delivering items around.

While there are a lot of players in the traditional as well as the Blockchain space with every other project focussing on shipping and delivery, but none have captured the essence and brought innovation to the table as this project does. It aims to change the way the delivery and courier systems work and with Blockchain implementation there is increased security and transparency.
They have a great team and even greater advisory board backing them up, which is trivial considering the fact that they are taking on a multi-billion dollar market with a lot of competitors and this business model could be widely adopted considering its ease of use.
They have everything going for them and they have a bright future ahead of them if they keep delivering on their promises.
