 This ICO allows U.S. CITIZENS

Guys i am super excited to be invested into substratum here is why! Decentralized web is such an amazing idea for one. We are constantly being monitored on the internet. We might be googling something that we are interested in or maybe just googling something as a joke. If the government wants to put you on a federal watch list based on what you are looking at then they can. YOU DO NOT WANT to be on a government watch list.

These guys have a solid team with BIG names involved such as former employees of apple with 10 plus years  experience. I think that they have the skill and perseverance to achieve the goals set forth in the road map. Here is a list of perks shown on the whitepaper (https://www.substratum.net)

 • The average internet user requires NO special software to use the Substratum Network. The default browser will service all requests for average users.

• Users who wish to service requests and receive SUB coins in return will have a point and click user interface that any user can setup. No technical knowledge required.

 • SubstratumPay will be seamlessly integrated and geared towards high conversions of low technical expertise users.

The project has a long road map. This is a good thing because this ICO is not a pump and dump. Some coins have no value as a long term coin. They simply have no value at all but people still invest in these coins. Invest in a coin that you know will be around for the long haul. They have a solid team and a very solid road map. You can check out there whitepaper at (https://substratum.net)

Passive Income! This is a big one for me because i love passive income. Warren Buffet said that if you do not find a way to make money in your sleep then you will work until you die! This is why i am always searching for ways to generate passive income. Substratum lets you run Nodes to generate money. I know i know a lot of currencies do that. Substratum is unique in the way they set this up.  Other companies allow you to run a node but only when you seal away a certain number of coins. This allows you to generate money doing special transactions. When you take the coins out or fall below the required number your node is no longer active. If a price dips and you want to sell 40% of your coins then well your passive income is at a halt. Substratum allows everyone to generate passive income for free. They way this works is you rent out your computer to them so that it will generate a server for people to log in and surf the web via your server. When you sleep you do not need to use your computer and when you are at work well you don't need it either. While you're either off sleeping, working, or simply living life you can make extra money while doing so!  This is cheaper and easier to maintain than miner equipment. The energy cost is way less because you do not need high dollar video cards to process the computing power.

Here is a question and answer regarding the node process shown from the whitepaper on (https://www.substratum.net)

Can I only run my node when I am not working?

Yes, you can use our Settings Application (Figure 1) to define what resources are used and when. This way your node makes the most money possible for you when you aren’t working but doesn’t disturb you when you are working.

No long require VPN or Tor browser! I know i personally pay for a VPN a month and that is $12.99. I only use mine to get into a ICO page and then i am done with it. This is just to expensive and i would love to do away with it personally. This does away with VPN all together. Countries around the world are doing away with VPN and blocking the use of them. This will limit the ability to access the web in the country of there choosing. Most VPN websites sell out to the federal goverment! This defeats the purpose of having that privacy that we pay for in the first place.

Here are a list of additional problems we have with our current web.

 • Serving Up of Decentralized Content

 • Incentivizing Users to Serve the Content

• Privacy / Security / Encryption

 • Storage and Serving of Content

• DNS (Domain Name System)

• Development Tools for the Decentralized Web

 • Net Neutrality

• International Digital Barriers

• High Hosting Costs

All in all Substratum has a vast amount of problems that they will fix in a decentralized web. You will be able to create a passive income for free, you will have complete privacy without a 3rd party, and the team has a solid vision and amazing tech. I have invested in this idea because it will benefit me and solve massive problems we have in our current online web, it has a simple problem and solution thus making it valuable. It is not just another currency this is a legit business. Strap in your seat belts because this one is taking you to the moon. And you heard it first right here at the cryptowizrd crystal ball :)   Alot of people have been saying that the link to the Substratum Slack is broken! here is the link for you guys if you cannot find it :) [Substratum Slack](https://substratumcoin.slack.com)

Thanks for the review as I was thinking about investing myself.

if you do invest drop my referral to get your maximum gains! kevron7777, I really do love ICOs because it gives the little man a chance to make above average money. After they build the web and get the project out to the public, drop some upcoming news, and show how amazing there tech really is! This one will be a easy 10+ dollar coin off a .10 cent investment per coin. :) HOLD and you will see the $$$$

I'm not feeling confident with this ICO.

  1. Like a user on Reddit pointed out: none of the Substratum devs have mentioned this project on their LinkedIn profile. I went through the LinkedIn profiles and none of them strike me as people who are into crypto. I might be wrong, but this alone is such a red flag for me to not spend money on the project.

  2. Their whitepaper is also too abstract for me. I get that they want to attract people who aren't too IT-savvy, but nowhere does it say the technical steps they will take to solve the issues they want to solve:

3.2 How Substratum Solves these Problems
The Substratum Network will bring the decentralized web worldwide without
the need of special software for the average internet user. We will be able to
serve Substratum Requests directly to the default browser (Safari, Firefox,
Chrome, Internet Explorer) without any special software installed on the
average consuming users computer.

Justin Tabb has 10+ years in creating software :) strap in your seat belts because this leader is one who i have and will invest in.

I really like the idea and I think it would be worthwhile to take a small position in this coin. But, it really sounds like a very long shot. I would not go crazy on this. Small position and watch it like a hawk.

If you want to be taken seriously I suggest you avoid phrases like "Strap in your seat belts because this one is taking you to the moon."
At at technical level what they propose is simply "off the charts", and in my view, totally unrealistic. The term "Decentralised Web" is misleading. The web IS decentralised. That is why torrenting of copyright material continues. Decentralised "data" is already proposed by the likes of FILECOIN, IPFS. Whitepaper is kinda fuzzy for my liking. When it says allowing "millions... to serve content". Well "content" can be kinda BIG. Again, torrents address the division of labour/bandwidth when it comes to distributing content. Regarding DNS, see NAMECOIN. Re. "digital barriers".... HOW? Re. high hosting costs... cloud functions where u only pay for function call solves that, so it is not accurate to say you pay hosting costs regardless of usage.. Github acitivity this week... only 5 commits, I'd expect HUGE activity - u ain't going to rewrite the internet at 5 commits a week. There is even some machine learning thrown in. So in summary this offers too much and it is too vague for me to have any confidence in it.
