Latium – a Platform that Changes the Way People Earn Money

When we talk about cryptocurrencies, we usually see them hypothetically as a valid means of exchange. In reality, though, cryptocurrencies are rarely used this way. People usually are not getting paid in cryptocurrencies, and neither there are many goods and services that could be bought for digital money. In fact, right now using a cryptocurrency as tender is very limited. Latium is a platform that is going to change this.

Latium is a tasking platform that organizes people who want to earn money performing certain tasks, and people who need to hire workers for their tasks and ready to pay for that. What’s interesting is that all the payments within the system are conducted in LATX – cryptocurrency issued by Latium. This way Latium creates a job-related infrastructure that utilizes cryptocurrency as its main means of exchange.

The platform has several particularly interesting features. First is the system of reputation scores. To rate users, the Latium platform uses a proprietary artificial intelligence algorithm that objectively judges the quality of performed tasks. The reputation scores allow both the employers and employees to see whom they work with which saves the trouble of doing background checks and other measures both employers and employees usually use to find out whether or not the other party is trustworthy. Participating in the system over a period of time its users eventually gain long-term reputations which makes them more attractive partners. At the same time, the system helps to filter out spam accounts. Another interesting feature is one-to-many task relationship structure. Basically, it means that task can be assigned to one person or to several thousands of people, depending on the task. Besides, the platform includes the “physical task locator” where the users are presented with a map with the tasks available in the local area. This might make it feel more like participating in a game where players complete tasks collecting LATX. The tasks are marked completed by users scanning QR codes or staying within designated GPS coordinates for the specific amount of time. These conditions are defined by the creator of the task.

The platform supports so-called “Digital” and “In-person” tasks. A “Digital” task happens entirely in the digital world. For example, if I want to drive traffic to an online petition I would create a task that would send as many people as possible to the petition page within the limits of my budget. “In-person” task is more or less related to the real world. A good example is when somebody is opening a new restaurant and invites people to participate in this ceremony for a reward. The guests might mark their presence by scanning a QR code or just staying within defined GPS coordinates for some period of time.

In a conclusion, I would like to say that Latium is an interesting project both creating a transparent tasking platform where due to the rating system all the participants clearly see whom they work with, and guides the way to the cryptocurrency market to people who seek income but still have no idea where to start.
