Eloncity- The Platform Striving to Power the World for Free

Eloncity is the power and energy-based platform that is striving to make power infrastructure a decentralized thing that will be easier to spread around the world at almost no cost. By separating the infrastructure into millions of self-sufficient micro-grids, the energy produced by the micro-grids would be available at any time and any place. The CEO and starter of the platform, Andy Li, was inspired by Elon Musk to start up this project. Li’s goal is to make power a universal good that can reach any countries and cities and take care of any power deficiencies that are going on in the world. With the micro power grids that platform bases their project on, and the energy stored within them, Eloncity has the possibility to solve the universal issue of power imbalances and make history as a great source of renewable energy production that is actually successful on a global scale. With free electricity accessible to the world, no one will have to go without warmth and light ever again. Also, since the energy that is produced is clean and renewable as well, the environment will not have to suffer as much either.

The Eloncity energy project features many different new and useful technologies that will help make their project advanced in all way technological and very innovative. They use block chain tech in their trade systems and Artificial Intelligence algorithms that helps with the cost of the production and trading. With the trading systems, the block chain technology works to make the trading as transparent as possible, and with the AI it works to keep the prices as low and affordable as possible. By taking into account the market prices and what prices energy is sold for in real-time, the AI algorithm is able to come up with a price that is sustainable.

Another advanced system the project uses is in their Smart Energy Storage Systems. These systems are IOT based and can store any amount of power. They will be where all the power is held and can be accessed at any time. It supplies power as is demanded and fulfills the need for power with the locally produced power from the micro-grids which is clean and renewable.

The Direct Current is another factor which makes up part of how Eloncity attempts to make their project successful. By switching the direct current power bus, the peak load can be permanently eliminated, along with the implementation new last-mile network. Eloncity also wants to implement new appliances to eliminate repetitive power conversion and instead aims for them to be completely driven by the direct current as soon as they are hooked up to power. What they hope to achieve by switching appliances and by switching the current power bus is that the locally produced clean and renewable power with increase in competitiveness and improve in performance overall.

The overall air and goals of the project itself are very admirable and have a good chance of being made possible, especially with how the public is reacting to Eloncity’s plan. Many people have a positive and excited view of Eloncity’s energy plan and believe that supporting the project will let it have an even greater chance of success. Eloncity’s goal is to have their project begin implementation by 2022, and such a feat is large but also doable if more people begin to support the project and learn about it.

Not only does Eloncity have a formidable goal, but their team and leader are also very formidable themselves. All of the Eloncity team have some kind of technology or power background and all are very experienced and valuable to the project. The Product Manager, Justin Wang, is an Architect and has worked on several projects before this one and is very fluent in technology and design. Michael Nguyen, the vice president of program management, has had a 30-year career in many different areas of energy projects and IT research and development and has won 4 different rewards in multiple industries.

The leader of the project itself, Andy Li, has been recognized for his work across multiple networks as a lead architect in the energy industry. With a team such as this one, Eloncity’s project has a great chance of success on many levels.
