HEROIC
Here is something we don't encounter very often; an ICO about cybersecurity. That is a revolutionary act, there are many cybersecurity companies, governments are working hard on this issue as well, individuals are busting their head off to protect their data and files. But still, the system is not robust enough. CEO of IBM, Ginni Rometty, once stated; "Cybercrime is the greatest threat to every company in the world." It is hard not to agree with her. Something is missing. We hear about data breaches, hacks, cyber theft, compromised accounts every other day. No one feels really safe online. "Cybersecurity is broken." Thus claims Heroic and I unfortunately agree. We need a better system; that uses big data, artificial intelligence, and the blockchain. Guess what? Heroic has such a system in mind.
HEROIC ECOSYSTEM
Cyber threat protection is a never stopping act. it should be long-term, sustainable and constantly evolving. There are tons of current threats, and you can be sure every new day will bring new threats. The ecosystem of Heroic consists of 3 core parts to fight those threats:
1- Arc Reactor: What would you need the most if you were in a war? The intelligence of course! Nazis were defeated in part thanks to the efforts of Alan Turing and his colleagues at Bletchley Park, who cracked the Enigma machine and gathered intelligence about Nazis. HEROIC Arc Reactor is an open, decentralized cybersecurity threat intelligence exchange powered by the blockchain. It benefits the community by collecting, transforming and distributing threat data. It will be exclusively powered by the HRO token
2- Guardian: A unified, cloud-based cybersecurity platform. It can predict and prevent cyber-attacks thanks to the threat info it gets from Arc Reactor. Artificial intelligence will be a crucial element in that regard.
3- Research and Development Environment: Here the real-time and historical threat data provided by Arc Reactor can be used by companies, organizations, and developers so that they can interact with it programmatically and visually to develop and test their own algorithms. HRO token is the common currency of this environment.
ECOSYSTEM PARTICIPANTS
There are 3 type of participants in the ecosystem;
1- Individuals: Heroic calls them "Users and Threat Miners" I am very intrigued by the definition "threat miner" After all, I just mentioned how important intelligence is in this war of cybersecurity. It should come from many resources, right? If you are an individual participating in the ecosystem you receive a multi-functional software from Heroic. This software will protect you from threats and collect the data about the threats that you face, then strip this data of any personally identifying information and send it to Arc Reactor. As you already know by now, it is the intelligence center of the ecosystem. Imagine millions of users participating in the system and all their threat data sent to a center, the amount of intelligence would be impressive, isn't it? The software will be available for most devices, including desktop computers, laptops, smartphones, and IoT devices. The more devices the better, the more users the better if you think logically. For their contribution, miners will get HRO tokens.
2- Organizations: They are pretty important since they can contribute a vast amount of threat data. They will have access to open threat intelligence exchange, they can use this data to build their own software. Like users, they get compensated for the data that they share with the ecosystem.
3- Developers: They will have open access to the ecosystem. They can create intelligent algorithms, software tools, and full software systems with the help of threat data and R & D environment. They will be compensated for their creations with HRO tokens.
I'm impressed by Heroic, especially by their focus on intelligence. Cybersecurity is actually a never-ending intelligence war in its core. Taking users, organizations, and developers to its side, Heroic is definitely ready for this battle.
