MindSports IO is our upcoming decentralized social gaming platform. Whereas, “mind sport” is a term for sport or game that relies on a participant's mental ability as opposed to their physical strengths.

Our missions at MindSports IO is to invite users to participate in a decentralized community of mind sports enthusiasts.

While preparing for our platform throughout the past year and being veteran players of chess, go, and xiangqi, we noticed there are many individuals who are not familiar with the definition “mind sport”. We want to use our brand and presence to promote awareness of all aspect in intellectual game aka “mind sports.”

What is MindSports IO?

Our decentralized platform allows users to host, bet, view and play online intellectual games such as chess, poker, xiangqi, backgammon and go. We host a large variety of intellectual games than any of the traditional services. We strive to create robust and vibrant player community by incentivizing not only game participation, but also high quality, user-generated content to the community. Such incentives will bolster enthusiasm and awareness not only for this platform, but in the wholesome and entertaining games and the community around the games.

MindSports Features

For now, to keep it simple, we will leave out the decentralized and blockchain aspect of MindSports IO. Here are the main features:

Host Games – For many traditional website, games and tournament are created by the website owner in order to generate income. Users in the MindSports platform are able to host their own tournaments and leagues. In return, the host can choose to be rewarded tokens based on parameters such as the number of participants or tokens commitment in their hosted games.

Bet Games – Aside from viewing exciting mind sport matches and competitions, the audience in MindSports are able to place pre-game and in-play token bets amongst to players and views. This provides user an opportunity to be more engaged in the game.

Play Games – Users are able to challenge a network of global players and join tournaments in various intellectual games. A randomization feature and a handicap option can be selected to make the challenge more interesting and leveled.
