PixBy - decentralised freelance marketplace
In recent years there is a change in the way people see their works, which is evaluating ever since, from middle age till nowadays. With invention of internet, and especially with mass adoption, outsourcing became a new way to doing business that can be done from the office and online. Companies from developed countries engaged companies from emerging and developing countries, to lower their expenses and improve competitiveness on domestic markets and worldwide. Outsourcing evolution was interesting, since hiring individual from emerging country was cheaper than to have an arrangement with a company, companies started to hire outsourced individuals from emerging countries for jobs that could be defined and done within certain time frame, but not usual working hours. For jobs that required work hours, like IT support and similar, hiring a company is still preferred solution. This trend was recognised by inter-mediators, and freelance website started to emerge, to offer connection between companies that are hiring people and people that need job. Evolution brought grades for freelancers, according to their previous engagements, skill testing on the freelance website to prove their knowledge, previous work dashboards, where former employeers could provide their reviews of freelancers, but also freelancers could provide employeer review and similar. One issue that was always in the game was payment schedule, and escrow payment proved as one of the best solutions to tackle a problem, but there was always an issue regarding job done and conflicts that could arrise from misunderstanding between employer and freelancer.
Blockchain is offering solution with smart contracts that could be deployed to have payments based on mutually agreed milestones, and lower number of conflicts between employer and employee in freelance contract.
Pixby is providing platform that will allow freelancers to offer their services in the form of goods. All goods in application could be purchased by single click, in this decentralised marketplace which provide rewards for all application users. Plan is to offer fully automated freelance market, that reward users, and have close to zero number of conflicts and low transactions. Escrow service will be based on Ethereum smart contracts, and Escrow will oversee each and every transaction, to provide fast response in case of dispute and release money to seller, when the service is fulfilled. Project mission is to provide alternative economic opportunities to freelancers and companies, with a vision to implement blockchain for this service, to facilitate disputes and ensure trust and transparency.
Implementation process is fast and easy, because user has to create an account, connect and synchronise wallet, and one is ready to provide or purchase services.
PXB token is the utility token, based on ERC-20 protocol, total number of tokens is 150 million, with a hard cap set on 63375 ETH, and unit price 6.25 ETH * 10-4. Pre-sale started at the end of August, with 65% of total number of tokens foreseen for sale. Exchange listing is planned until the end of the year, while first application test is planned for the start of next year.
