KickCity - Decentralized Event Management & Marketing Protocol on Blockchain

Introduction:
We love it and we take part it in. Events. Every one of you surely have participated or even organized an event, be it a music concert, a comedy show, a stage play, or also(private) parties. The event industry is one of the oldest, but steadily increasing industry. Day by day, thousands of events happen around the world. As an event manager, organizing an event is not an easy task. From planning, hiring the right people and doing the right marketing, the whole process takes time. Many events need to be canceled, due to too less participants, mainly because the network was either to small or the marketing campaign wasn't done good. By using the blockchain technology, a solution for this problem offered by the project called "KickCity" is found.

What is KickCity?
KickCity is a decentralized Event Management and Marketing Platform on the blockchain. The main idea behind KickCity is to connect people through the blockchain to extend the network. This idea is realized with a reward system, where every participant can profit from the whole system.

How does this work?
When a new event is set, vendors can allocate KickCity-Tokens (KCY, more infos later) for their reward-based marketing campaign. At the start of the campaign, any participant can take part in the event by generating a unique link, which is similar to a referral link, through the smart contract. The smart contract can track any activities done, like how many times a link has been clicked and how many registration/sales have been conducted. Any participant can share the link in their own network (for example by telling friends on social media platforms, social media chats and so on). With every correct registration and purchase, a reward will be allocated to the "advertiser", but also a cashback is granted to the purchaser in form of KCY tokens. Purchases for event tickets can be done via BTC, ETH, KCY and Fiat money. Since most event participants mainly pay in FIAT money, KickCity will accept FIAT also, but will pay out the rewards in KCY tokens in order to offer a fast solution for FIAT to Crypto, but also to maintain it's economy. So in short, but taking part in KickCity, not only the event manager profits from new event attendees, but also advertisers and purchasers are getting rewarded in form of KCY tokens and cashback. KCY-Tokens:
As mentioned above already the KCY-Tokens will be the official cryptocurrency of KickCity for their ecosystem. Tokens will be used for example by event managers to create their marketing pool, but also will be rewarded for promoters and participants, who share and take part in the events.

Here are some information about the KCY-tokens and sales:

• Launch date: 01.03.2018
• End date: 31.03.2018
• Target: 12.5 million USD
• Total amount: 250 million KCY
• Total amount for sale: 160 million KCY, unsold KCY will be burned
• 1 KCY will cost 0.1$
• Payment method: BTC and ETH
• There will be bonuses for early investors (15% on the first day, 10% on for day 2-10, 5% for day 11-20)

The budget will be used for:

• 50% marketing
• 30% development and team
• 13% administration
• 7% contigency

Roadmap:
KickCity has a very clear roadmap, showing that they have already achieved quite alot. Among that are the App Initial Release in Q4 2016, the Event Platform in Q2 2017, but also alot of blockchain developments and use-cases. Currently KickCity is preparing for their upcoming token sale and will expand their project later this year. For sure we will see a more detailed roadmap soon.

KickCity not only has a great CEO, who is taking part in a lot of events promoting this project (see pictures on the website), but also has a lot of experts in the team. My opinion:
KickCity is in my opinion a very interesting project, aiming to help out events beeing more successful and also have better customer targeting. I'm very impressed with the project idea in general and think that with a better marketing, the event industry can grow even bigger in the upcoming years. The blockchain technology enables projects like KickCity to emerge. With an already existing app for IOS and Android, KickCity has already a base they can work on. I'm very excited already to use KickCity in the future for my personal events (I'm doing music concerts), but also love to spread the word in my network to also profit from the great reward system. Overall KickCity is a very promising project for 2018 and will for sure have a successful upcoming ICO.
