Cryptogene: An ICO with a Difference
I did a summary of an Initial Coin Offering (ICO) which would soon start. I took the liberty of adding some useful links.
Cryptogene is a cryptocurrency platform with an offer to provide blockchain solutions, especially for African countries.
Though it targets the African continent, it is open for all. It recently concluded its pre-ICO on August 24th, 2017. Successfully raising 10.5 BTC and 418 waves. The pre-ICO opened on Aug 10, 2017, and ran for 14 days.
The ICO
This is the official ICO website here.
The main ICO starts on 24th September 2017. The ICO price per CGT is estimated to be at $0.1 USD.
The Token
The Cryptogene Token (CGT)
This is the native currency of the Cryptogene Platform. It would be issued on the Waves platform.
Token Distribution
Out of a total of 50,000,000 CGT issued,
- 50% of which will be distributed to the public through an ICO
- 20% will be reserved for founders and core developers
- 20% will be reserved for future stakeholders
- 10% reserved for marketing
