Platform
Module is a platform based on blockchain technology, which allows the owner of the gadget to rent out free space and receive a reward. It is important to note that the gadget means not only a smartphone, but also a PC, tablet and even a game console.
You download the platform application to your gadget and allow other users to store their data, for which you receive a reward tokens MODL. The amount of the reward will depend on the amount of memory you have leased.
You should not worry about the possibility of data hacking. They will be protected by encryption and broken into fragments, i.e. will be in different places at the same time. Each user can launch their own project, create an application and participate in mining on the platform.
Developers also provide an opportunity for large enterprises to use the platform to store their data. This is due to the fact that users on the network will be a huge number.
As for the platform itself, the test launch is scheduled for autumn 2018. After all the tests in December, the developers will release a beta version of the platform for review.
Technology
The Module platform is based on the PoSTT mining Protocol for decentralized data storage. The point is that there are two participants in the network-the one who leases free space for data storage and the one who buys it. They make a deal with each other, having previously agreed on the price.
This algorithm includes three components - a confirmation of the place, time and fact of the transaction in the network.
The miners are to create new units, thereby supporting the operation of the entire system of the blockchain. Their reward will depend on the number of transactions and the amount of total storage at a certain point.
To implement the process in the basis of the algorithm PoSTT is the use of P2P technology on the blockchain, which involves the node for the storage space (the Verifier), for providing the space for storage (the Farmer) and the miner that creates the blocks, confirming transactions on the network.
The process is that the farmer receives payment in MODL tokens for renting his free space to store the Verifier data. They agree among themselves on the amount and conclude a smart contract. The miner processes the transaction and receives a reward. In the whole chain there is another connecting server that analyzes the entire p2p network and blockchain, and then selects the Farmer to store the Verifier data.
