The Asura World is an ecosystem designed around competitive e-sports. The Asura project has been around for a while, being first announced near the start of 2018 and has been raising awareness ever since. The project has utilized a variety of different marketing techniques to build a decent social following, with about 10.2K twitter followers, 21.0K telegram members and about 1K subscribers to r/AsuraCoin/. The ICO is currently live and with 9 days remaining in the sale, the project has already exceeded the soft cap.

Asura has forged tactical partnerships with Aphelion and 03 wallets (two of the biggest NEP5 and NEO wallets) to have the Asura ICO sold directly through the respective apps and also with Fujian eGaming Tournament Group to assumingly run Fujian tournaments through the platform.

The project has been well received by the media (Cryptovest, Cryptoslate, NEO News today). And by ICO comparison sites scoring a 4.5 from ICObench and a 4.4 from TrackICO.

Competition

The Asura ICO is not the first blockchain project to target the growing world of esports and there a number of ICOs that have been successful by offering betting or gaming platforms. Unikoin Gold is possibly the closest and most well known competitor to Asura World, offering some similar features such as a betting platform however Asura is a more complete package and puts its own unique spin on things that give it the edge in my opinion.

Although there is some competition is this area of the market, the prospects look good for Asura Coin as Unikoin Gold hit almost 20 times it’s ICO price back in January with little to no product behind it. The Alpha platform for Asura World is already available in a very basic state, and after reaching the funding goals in ICO, its likely that development will increase at an exponential rate.

Tokenomics

The Asura coin (ASA) is a utility token of the Asura ecosystem used extensively throughout the platform for wagering and rewarding purposes and this is the main reason for the relatively large supply of 1 billion Tokens. The supply is distributed well, with 65% assigned to the token sale, 25% to growth & betting reserve and 10% to the team.

Limited bonuses for early investors reduce the severity of an immediate dump upon release and an ICO price of 5000 ASA/NEO gives good prospects for price speculators. The project has already surpassed the soft cap of 150 million ASA and will likely sell much more before the end of the ICO.

Team

Headed by serial entrepreneur Peter Shen, the 8 person team looks strong in all aspects. Standout members include Peter shen himself who has started multiple successful companies in his almost 15 year career, and shows a great knowledge and passion for the competitive gaming market in the interviews he has given. Co-Founder Eman Abdollahi has nearly 5 years experience in game development and CTO Haoyang Feng has worked in software engineering for 10 years while founding multiple companies of his own.

The advisory board also features 8 members ranging from a City of Zion member to e-sport tournament organisers, all of which appear to be experts in their field.

Summary

The Asura ICO looks to have all of the hallmarks of a great project in the making; innovative idea, great community and a top level team.
