Checklist for ICO investment
Caution : The order may be different. We may miss many parameters and we may include lot of wrong parameters. Many parameters may not work for all the projects. Please correct / amend / Add the items in comment section.
About the Project
- Do they have working product? What’s the current product stage?
- Is the product usable?
- Who are the partners and users of the product?
- Verify the github activity and the team members github activity.
- Product-Market fit.
- Number of users, App downloads etc
- How the product make money. How the token holders will be paid.
- How scalable it is.
- Their Activity in public forum.
About the tokens
- Token usage (Just currency < Security token for their business < Utility token < Protocol token < Platform token). Note this order may change depends on type of products and other parameters.
- Better If token purchase is limited per user. Number of token holders must by high.
- Better if only the whitelisted investors are allowed to invest after KYC verification.
- No bonus / Presale > Pre ICO / Bonus structure.
- Flat fee per token > Auction model / discounted token rates.
- Good % of token issued to public sale should be higher and % held by founder / company / investors should be less.
- Better if they raise little amount of money in $ / ETH / BTC than 10s of millions.
- Better if Number of tokens supply is less.
About everything else
- Who are the advisors (Must be big shot from blockchain landscape)
- Partners.
- Team members and their track record.
- Media coverages.
- Early stage investors.
- Governance Structure (Fully Private control < Private and community < Fully community backed)
- How long the project is coming up.
- Read the ratings and reviews from these ICO reviews sites (i will add more Review sites there).
