The German ice hockey team "Thomas Sabo Ice Tigers" from Nürnberg are one of the founder-members of the German Ice Hockey League, and they are playing since 1994. Their current name "Thomas Sabo Ice Tigers" comes from their main sponsor from the jewelry industry. The biggest success of the club was the win in the German runners-up championship in 1999 and 2007 so far. This year they are currently placed 2nd in the league, and their home-games are played in the "Arena Nürnberger Versicherung", which opened in 2001.

Kölner Haie
The German ice hockey team "Kölner Haie" is currently sitting 3rd in the league, and they have also been a very strong team in the last few years. The "Kölner Haie" are from Cologne, as you can see in the name, and the club was founded in 1972. The club was one of the German Ice Hockey League (DEL) founders in 1994, and they are still a member in the DEL. Since 1973 they are playing in the top class of the German ice hockey league consistently, and in this time they have won the German Champion title eight times, in the years: 1977, 1979, 1984, 1986, 1987, 1988, 1995 and 2002. Will they do it this year again?

Die Kölner Haie kommen, wie der Name schon sagt, aus Köln und der Club wurde 1972 gegründet. Der Club gehörte 1994 zu den Gründungs Vereinen der Deutschen Eishockey-Liga (DEL) und ist auch heute noch ein Mitglied der DEL. Die Kölner Haie spielen bereits seit 1973 durchgängig in der obersten Klasse der deutschen Eishockey-Liga und haben in dieser Zeit bereits achtmal den Titel Deutscher Meister gewonnen, in den Jahren: 1977, 1979, 1984, 1986, 1987, 1988, 1995 und 2002. Schaffen sie es dieses Jahr wieder?
