Get it right :Cooperative Farmers or Cluster Farming
So many people want to know about cooperative farming and Cluster Farming especially when filling online form for grant or loan, as a passionate cooperative expert as my profile info has said, i see it as the future of farming in Nigeria and Africa at large, risk and loss are minimized while profit and loss are all time progressive. Cooperative farming is a farm that is run in cooperation with other in purchasing of machinery, implement, seeds, grant and loans disbursing, stock etc. and in the marketing of produce through its own institution, Nigeria ministry of Agriculture has more preference for cooperative farmers than clusters which is till preferable to Individual farmers.

Cluster farming are farmers in the same location growing varieties of crops targeted for the same ,market, trust me when i say the easiest and best way of practical farming and best hand on training for newbie is Cluster farming am not joking, you’ll have little or no failure as other farmers are ready to help at all time and you’re at the beck and call of export agency in Europe and other countries, the reason this cluster farming is preferable in European countries is because they use the same method of management, pest Control, they assist each other and collectively transport and supply big company.
There are difference btw Cooperative and Cluster farming
- Co-op Farmers don’t have to be presently there, most of them farm by proxy ‘cos it’s more like shares and stock in the bank, implement purchase might be use or might not be used as they may be there to add modeling to their co-op farm society while Cluster farming are full time farmers neither do they farm for fashion or recognition.
- Co-op farmers might/might not be involved in any farming process as they might be in the administration or disbursing of funds, loans, improved seeds and grants to farmers while the cluster farmers are at the receiving end of it cos they farm 100%.
