How I am Promoting Steemit

Hi Steemit,
I am @Dlio and this is my entry into the #i-rise weekly contest, a million thanks to the organiser.
From my first day as a Steemian, i have made efforts to promote steemit:
a. My first month: i gave myself a target of getting 100 people to join Steemit, i created a whatsapp group to help me achieve that goal but i was only able to get 25 people to the community. I felt a little disappointed but i moved on because i had some results such as attaining a reputation of over 40 within my first 3 weeks. I was and am on fire.

b. I set and carried out several projects to promote Steemit including; leading a team to hold the first Steemit meetup in Nsukka. I had to travel from Sapele in Delta state which is where i currently reside to Nsukka to get this done.

c. Finally, i heard about steemgigs and joined the platform, got two Steemians to join too. I am currently working on making some friends of mine who are not Steemians already but offer online services using Upwork and Guru to join Steemgigs. To do that however, they have to join the Steemit community which is the end goal.
