Hipocrisy
I have a theory why the parameters of justice are undefined,
Human nature is so complex that right and wrong are merely subjective,
Truth, most of the times, is just how we choose to perceive things,
In our own universe, we're just the judgmental queens and kings,
All's fair in love and war, a prose once proposed,
Victories and casualties, shipwrecks and pirates and ghosts,
People willingly suffer to spare a minute of heaven on earth,
How ridiculous could you get?
What's your distorted concept of worth?
Princes search for princesses in mystical abandoned palaces of fairytales,
And they meet in the staircase, drawn by gravity of passion that never fails,
What blasphemy could supersede such classical unrealism?
Tell me, do you know that most actual stories end up to be forlorn and grim?
And yet, hearts still find reasons to lull themselves in a false sense of security,
Still, after all the beer slugging and detoxification toward sobriety,
Dawn comes, storms pass, then its like nothing was ever learned,
We're still kings and queens waiting for a complimentary being,
We hope, we believe in dreams, rainbows, Atlantis, and in a diamond ring...
