My Second Class at HMI: Learning Clinical Hypnotherapy and Suggestibility Testing
This was my second class in the HMI hypnotherapy training program, and it felt like the first “real” class. We went beyond orientation and began practicing some of the foundations of clinical work — including how to test a client’s suggestibility.
In this video, I share what it was like to experience the training, the importance of suggestibility testing, and how it felt to move from listening to actually practicing. After class, I also started the required two-hour video lesson and made it about halfway through before calling it a night. Even from that first half, I came away with new insights that reinforced what we did in class.
I’ll talk about:
• How the second class compared to the first one
• What suggestibility testing is and why it matters in hypnotherapy
• What it felt like to practice these skills for the first time
• My experience starting the follow-up video lesson after class
• My personal takeaways and what I’m looking forward to next
If you’re curious about hypnotherapy training, online learning, or what it’s like to step into this journey from the very beginning, I invite you to follow along with me. Each week I’ll share my experiences, insights, and progress as I work through the HMI program.
