With such plans in place, it is just normal that we see another type of currency to spring up which are just cryptographically-safe digits. Yet another problem is that of the size and bandwidth of the blockchain. This relates to the physical data and the size of individual blocks which can increase the cost of mining. The safety of the blockchain platform is again a problem as there are diverse ways of an external attack can be initiated on the blockchain.
More often than not, users rely on the safe keeping of their private keys by centralized platforms which if altered can offer an attacker with access to their wallet and by extension their cryptocurrency.
