Hunting Turtledoves
Yesterday we went hunting turtledoves. we were not quite as successful as we would have liked but we still got four of them. the main reason we are hunting them is we have about two acres of winter wheat planted and the doves really like the wheat. Since they are in season now we decided to get rid of the pests.
I am going to show you how we cleaned them. Here are some pictures of them so you can see what they look like(). We started the process by plucking off all the breast feathers. Then we pricked the skin with a knife and pulled the skin away from the breasts. After that we took both of the breasts off.
After taking the breasts off the birds wee rinsed them off and put them in the freezer. We are hoping to get enough to make a meal. I hope this helps you if you decide to hunt these little guys. if you enjoyed this post please follow and upvote this post.
