First deer off my property
Meat from the first deer I harvested last week on my new property. It was nice to get some more meat for my freezer. Each year I hope to work towards more food self sufficiency. Between the chicken I raised this year, and this venison, I have taken a big step. Hopefully I can get one more deer before the season ends. 
We have lots of deer here, but can't hunt on our property as it is only 160' wide. But my husband has a permit for special deer hunt in Eastern Mass and is hoping to get at least one. He's allowed 4.
