** 12/04/1919 **
- For the first time since the Kapp Putsch, the National Assembly shall meet together again in Berlin. Until its last meeting before the parliamentary elections on June 6, they adopted a series of important laws, among others the kingdom of electoral law and the law on the election of the President.
- The German politician Adolf Köster (MSPD) takes over in Berlin the Empire State Department, which was co-managed since the new government on 26 March by Chancellor Hermann Müller (MSPD).
- In the French Chamber of Deputies in Paris a debate on new tax laws begins. et al an increase in the income tax, a wealth transfer fee and various indirect taxes are provided. The tax laws are adopted in Parliament on 29 April with 535 votes to 69.
