the Guilt of Mothers

There is an instinctive love of a woman for her children.

The changes to a woman’s body is a miracle and virtually non-understandable to science, even today. As mankind’s knowledge increases; more details are uncovered that were previously never considered. In my opinion, modern medicine is not too much further along in the quest for ultimate knowledge, even when compared to the knowledge of a witch doctor. Beyond the physical/chemical changes that can be observed, there is much more to the process than is understood, dimensions that are yet to be fathomed.

Babies have features that mothers find irresistible, large eyes, soft, cuddly and totally helpless at birth. The range of sounds, the crying, cooing, gurgling and responsiveness, these all make new Moms melt at the knees.

Time goes by and hopefully, the baby grows in a normal manner. In general, the intelligence of these little ones is hopelessly underestimated. This little being is a cunning ego-centric monster, and most women are vulnerable to manipulation.

Another factor where the adult is, on a hiding to nothing, is the energy level of the mini-tyrant. They will wear the adult out into a state of utter exhaustion. The unstated motto of the toddler is “even the enemy has to sleep sometime”. The toddler is like the ultimate chess player who will implacably grind their opponent down by degrees until their foe is exhausted and their minds collapse into numbed defeat. The love of the mother is exploited with relentless accuracy.
