Ode to Cookie #WriteMore

Oh perfect cookie. You are one of life’s simplest pleasures.

But today, o perfect cookie, I am not a happy chappy.

You see, the last few days my body has been fighting infections like a dark ninja inside my innards. And while this does not affect you, o cookie, my delight in you has faded temporarily. I hope you understand.

Believe me when I explain my frustrations only come from the inability to inhale oxygen and cookie at the same time. For now, I can do one or the other; no longer able to multitask as I once could. It hurts my soul to say such things.

It’s not you, it’s me.

I look forward to enjoying you again in the near future, but for now, we must part ways in an oh-so bittersweet way.

Fare-thee-well beloved cookie. May we meet again in better circumstances where our love can blossom again unhindered by the ninja inside my innards.
